BLACK CAT TAROT

SOME INFORMATION ON READING WITH THE TAROT CARDS

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards,
each card having its own picture which is full of meaning and symbolism.

There are hundreds of different Tarot decks,
each with their own theme and symbolism.

A Tarot deck is divided into 2 parts.
Called the MAJOR and MINOR Arcana.

The MAJOR Arcana is made up of 22 cards
And shows us Important Psychological/Spiritual Issues in our lives
and tells the story of the journey of a Soul from Innocence to Enlightenment.
This is called the Fool’s Journey.

The MINOR Arcana is divided into 4 Suits, numbering 1 to 10,
And shows us the mundane/everyday aspects of our lives
Each Tarot Suit represents a different area of life
And is represented by one of the 4 Elements –
Air, Fire, Water, Earth
CUPS/WATER –
Emotions, subconscious, intuiton,
psychic powers, love
WANDS/FIRE –
Passion, action, creativity, ambition
SWORDS/AIR –
Thoughts, the intellect, communication,
conflicts, struggles
PENTACLES/EARTH –
The body, the physical, health, work,
money, home, etc.

Each Suit also contains four ‘people’ or ‘energy’ cards called COURT Cards, usually called, Page, Knight, Queen, and King, but can also be known as Princess, Prince, Queen and King and in some decks they can be represented by animals,
elementals, wisdom keepers, etc.
These COURT Cards can reveal
Other people or outside energies affecting the querents life.
The querents mundane or energetic situation,
Aspect(s) of the querents personality and energies,

My method as a Tarot reader is to ascertain, from the cards, what the energies are surrounding your particular circumstances and question.   The concept of ‘prediction’ which is so often associated with the Tarot cards, I find limiting, as the future is always open to individual creativity and choice and, of course, the variables of chance.  I believe the Cards can channel clarity, wisdom, and transforming knowledge, and in so doing, empower you (the querent) to meet whatever comes into your life, with the best possible illumination.
